CCS Spirit Shirt
by admin on Oct.29, 2009, under CCS
Crossings Christian School was looking for a new spirit shirt design to show off the knight mascot and create some buzz and identity. One challenge was designing for a print on red and black shirts and utilizing the color of the shirt as one of the design colors without requiring separate screens. This was the result:
CCS Men’s Thermal T Design
by admin on Oct.20, 2009, under CCS
I do a lot of the design work for Crossings Christian School. Early in the process of establishing an identity we purposefully didn’t modify the crest or the knight image much. Now that the school is larger and better known and the brand is established we have been branching out a little and doing some cooler stuff.
This is a design for a men’s thermal t-shirt.
24 Hour Races
by admin on Oct.10, 2009, under Pirana Bros
Shirt design for an Oklahoma race produced by the Pirana Brothers. Two races were held at the same time, one a 24 road race and the other a 24 hour trail race. The 24 The Hard Way idea played off the “hard” surface of the road as well as the “difficulty” of running for 24 hours. For the Double Dirty Dozen the idea hinged on the dirt of the trail and 2 x 12 = 24.
runHers for the Cure

We are all familiar with the Komen “Race for the Cure” series. The local chapter of runHers wanted to make a statement during their participation this year so they ask me to design a shirt for them to wear during the race. I chose to invoke the runner ribbon used by Komen but rendered in the dots that runHers are known for.
TEXTOK.NET

Logo and header for a text message service. Took the text bubble from an iPhone (completely reworked of course) and used that as the basis for the logo. The guy I did this for wanted a push card to use during the presentation and business cards. The business card is the green logo bubble on a narrow, slightly longer than normal card. The push card is 6″ square and is a larger text bubble on one side with talking points and a framed area with the rest of the info on back.
S 2 S

The S2S program (Sofa to Success) is a training program and support group to get people from non0running to running a 5K. The idea for the logo was to capitalize on the S2S and communicate support and care for the individual as well as movement. Color choices were random and may change.

This is the logo design for runHers, a local (soon to be national) women’s running group. This logo is being tradmarked and is already on shirts and promotional materials.:
Taylor Group Event Management Logo

Taylor Group Event Management logo design.
The idea was something that communicated the capability to design and execute an event from idea to reality. Color choice was based on high visibility and ease of embroidery. I got the initial idea from a font, but had to redraw most of the letters to allow for color substitution and to get the two words to be the same length without stretching the text.
Cowboy Arcade
by admin on Feb.21, 2009, under Misc
Wife didn’t like the flames idea (see below) so working on this:
Previous design (that bit the dust):
A friend and I are building a custom MAME cabinet. I am doing 100% custom graphics on the cabinet sides, control panel overlay and the backlit marquee.
This all started as a desire to own an original TEMPEST arcade machine like this one. This was a game my brother and I spent WAY TOO MUCH time on in the 80’s. It is a long story, but it is about the same money to build a Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator and then you can play Tempest AND about 2000 other games too! Since this all started with the Tempest machine, I wanted to give a nod to the side art of that machine, but incorporate my design logo. I also wanted the main colors to be orange and black and since I am a pyromaniac, I thought flames were a good element to include.
We are ordering a cabinet from MAMEROOM and are having them wire up the control panel to. The cabinet graphics and control panel overlay will be printed on adhesive backed vinyl and laminated with polycarbonate. The control panel will also be covered in plexiglass. The marquee (wich is backlit) will be printed on film design for backlit signs and then sandwiched between two sheets of plexi.
Rowdy Moms
by admin on Jan.25, 2009, under CCS
This is a design for a shirt for the moms in a the Crossings Christian School booster club to wear at games and spirit functions. They were looking for something with some femininity to it, but still a little funky. The school colors are red, black and white. They chose black shirts becasue they want to apply rhinestones to the design and they show up better on black.
