Misc. Notes
Jack Kenneth Vandever, born November 24, 1924 in Beggs, OK, the youngest of 4 children, died peacefully at his home in Oklahoma City, OK on Sunday, July 29, 2007, surrounded by his family. Jack was preceded in death by Tip, his wife of 30 years.

Having grown up during the Great Depression, Jack knew the value of hard work and was proud of each job he held during his life. He often told his grandchildren to always do the best job possible and never leave without asking if there was something else that might need doing. Jack was Sr. Vice-President of May Avenue Bank, developed real estate in Oklahoma City, and sold cars in Texas.

Jack is survived by his daughters Paula MacRae, Pattie Hollenstein, and Rebecca Hill and 10 grandchildren- Caitlin MacRae, Michael MacRae, Travis Smith, Cody Smith, Austin Hill, Jackson Hill, Harrison Hill, Grace Ann Hill, Preston Hill, and Christian Hill and by his brother G.W. Vandever, nieces Judy and Jeannie, and nephews Joe Vandever, Jerry Vandever, and Donald Kruckeberg.

Jack will be interred in the family niche at All Souls Church in Oklahoma City on Thursday, August 2. In lieu of flowers, generous donations to Hospice of Oklahoma County would be most welcome and appropriate.
