It is said that good fences make good neighbors. Not sure what that means to someone else, but I like fences. I like well built, well designed fences.
I noticed one day during a run that there are some very ornate wrought iron fences. The most elaborate work is always on the gates. Not needing or having the resources to actually build (or have built) a real “T3” gate, I was “forced” to create one in photoshop. The original photo (found on the interwebs…)
Once I sized the photo to place the “T3” in the gate, I didn’t have to deal with the shadows in the forefront at all. However, this was still a difficult one to do as I had to “create” a lot of the material that was covered by the original gate. I use a combination of rubber stamp, copy and fade or selective erase, and some just painting. On something this complex I end up with dozens of layers (which I keep) before I have a final image I can flatten and size.
