Each year I try to do something a little different than the run-of-the-mill card. Rebecca (my lovely and extremely talented wife) write a Christmas “letter” which in turn gives me a basis for a card design. This year as I read her letter draft I got the feeling that I was reading a scrapbook containing some of our memories from the year’s activities. So that is what I decided to make, a “scrapbook” card. I shot a digital picture of a scrapbook cover we had at home and adjusted the color to get a red leather (it was brown) then photoshopped in the embossing on the front and back. For the inside I used some stock images to create the inside cover behind some “pages” and then began digitally “arranging” things on them. The finished card is 5×7 and opens to the first page and then again to the inside which is 10×14. Included in the envelope will be a 5×7 print of the kids.
