The Great Plains Race Syndicate was an idea I had that has yet to get off the ground. Basically it would act like a industry specific association. By joining together as a single voice, smaller races would have the ability to negotiate with vendors and local municipalities for better condition and services. Also, the Syndicate would serve as a lobbying agency for these events to impact legislation and ordinances that would create and more favorable climate for event managers. Finally, the group would serve as a clearing house for information, best practices, and other data.
I designed the logo and web site in about a day. I liked the digital clock look of the letters built from dots and the “fade” that occurs has an element of speed to it. The early web site was all built in html and linked pages, the new site is running on WordPress.
